Dr. Jonathan Ramsay

Mr Jonathan Ramsey, Consultant Urologist, currently working within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and seeing patients privately at the London Clinic and Beaconsfield Clinic. He is highly specialised in the treatment of male infertility (infertility and subfertility).

Mr Ramsey began his medical training at St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School where he graduated in 1977. He then went on to do specialist training abroad in the US. In 1987 he was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Urologists and took up his first Consultant post a year later.

Mr Ramsey is an active researcher, focusing on sperm retrieval, vasectomy reversal and genetic causes of infertility. His work has resulted in numerous publications. He currently works on research examining the effects of weight loss and diet on fertility. Other research he is currently involved in is looking into sperm quality and DNA fragmentation. He has been invited to lecture at conferences around the world.

Mr Ramsey continues to contribute to medical education by holding the position of an examiner on the Intercollegiate Board of Urology. He is also a member of the London Clinical Senate Council and a trustee of 2 charities that focus on surgical education.
